5 Objectives of KSEEB for the Welfare of Education System

Established in the year 1966, the prime objective of the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has been the overall welfare of the students form the educational point of view. New concepts were introduced since 2011 board examinations by the govt. with the intention of further improving the education scenario of Karnataka. SSLC examination which is conducted by the board in the month of March is very important for students as this exam is the deciding factor for their further course of higher education. Introduced for the first time in the country, KSEEB is known for organising supplementary exams in the month of June for students who failed to pass SSLC on the first try. Other than the SSLC examination, KSEEB is also responsible for announcing CET and PUC Examination results. Appointed by KSEEB, there is an examiner’s committee which is responsible for controlling the entire task related to the board examination. With the tremendous increase in numbers of the students appearing in the SSLC examination, the current objective of the Board can be divided into 5 parts:

1. Preparation along with improvement of the course of 10th standard for the overall improvement of the education system:

The KSEEB is not only responsible for preparing the course structure of the 10th standard, but is also continuously striving for the improvement of the course. The SSLC examination is quite crucial on the part of the students as it poses as the deciding factor for the further course of education that the students will follow. To have a good educational system and also ensuring that the students can perform well enough to come up with good results will only further help in overall upliftment of the educational scenario of Karnataka.

2. Upliftment of educational system through introduction of new technologies:

In this age of development it is very essential to have the best technologies in the educational front so that the future generations don’t lag behind when it comes to technology. One of the main objectives of KSEEB is to ensure the upliftment of the overall educational system by introducing newer technologies and so far a commendable job has been carried out under the direction of KSEEB.

3. Granting recognitions to new high schools in Karnataka:

More high schools means higher literacy rate of the state and to ensure that KSEEB has take upon the task of granting recognition to more and more high schools with proper infrastructure and faculty. This has led to a huge upliftment in the overall educational scenario of the state.

4. Maintaining examination centres with all necessary arrangements:

One of the most important objectives of the KSEEB is to ensure that all the examinations of the board are carried out smoothly and without any hinderance. For that, KSEEB has taken initiative to maintain examination centers by providing all the necessary arrangements. Also, KSEEB is responsible the submission of paper, result announcements, admit card releases, the syllabus recognition along with various other works for the school education.

5. Providing proper guidance to students:

KSEEB is responsible for ensuring that all the students appearing for the board exams, both from rural and urban areas, are provided with proper guidance and all the necessary help. With the launch of the website, both students as well as parents can have upto date information in matter of seconds. KSEEB is reaching out to the corners of the state ensuring overall educational growth for the state of Karnataka.
